Volunteers are the heart of Keep Sedona Beautiful. People give willingly to help KSB in many of it’s endeavors. If you don’t see anything listed below that piques your interest, please feel free to contact the office to discuss ways in which you can be of assistance.
Adminstrative: Your help in the office could involve; educational mailings, public programs, and outreach.
Building Maintenance: This would include "handyman" type fixes, painting and landscape maintenance in our native plant garden.
Grant Writing: Research and apply for the many grants to further our mission. (New computer equipment was obtained through a local grant.)
Helping the Forest Service and Friends of the Forest: The Forest Service does not have adequate staff to maintain the land in Sedona. Help the Forest Service as they work to keep the forest safe. Friends of the Forest is a volunteer organization and coordinates volunteer assistance with the Forest Service.
Litter Lifters: Wonder why our streets are so clean? KSB litter lifters regularly pick up litter on over 50 miles of road in Sedona, this includes Highways 89A and 179. If you see volunteers wearing a bright, orange vest be sure to thank them for keeping Sedona beautiful!
Public education programs: We have Preserving the Wonder™ monthly speaker series and various events throughout the year. Jobs may include solicitation of speakers, registration, setting up for the events, etc.
Various committees: Volunteer to work with one of our various committees: Sedona-Red Rock National Scenic Area, Dark Skies, Land Preservation, Annual Awards, Annual Native Plant Workshop, Sedona Capture the Wonder Photo Contest, Litter Prevention, Preserving the Wonder™ Speakers Series, Scholarships.
